For the love of art and design! Because of my love of design I am creating this blog to be informative and inspirational. I hope you start to love all things creative just as I do.

For as long as I can remember I have loved all things art and when I found Interior Design I was hooked. So not only do I get to pursue a career in design but I get to spend my free time creating works of art.

Design in My Life

When I am not creating you can find me with my nose in a book. Either learning about so new adventure I can take or escaping to a far off land. Anything from a timeless love story to a fairytale adventure. You will catch me reading. And after a few hours with my head in a book you might even see me stretching my legs on the hiking trail or one of the many bike trails around town. I'm just always on the move.

Adventuring

Not only do I like art, learning, and staying active but I love traveling the world. It could be a day trip to eastern Iowa or it could be to the lush green farmlands of Ireland. Wherever in the world I am I take in all that I can and can never get my fill of inspiration from my travels. I have met so many amazing people and gone on so many amazing trips so far. I am so excited for all of my future adventures.

The Spark

“It all began one day in my housing class.”

I know everyone has a moment they remember where their passion was sparked. Whether it was the spark for business, writing, engineering, or any number of things. I found my love for interior design when I was a sophomore in high school taking a housing class. All semester long we were studying the types of roof styles, design styles, and where they originated. But at the very end of the semester we were assigned a project that would change my life forever. We were supposed to design the interior of a house. From that day forward I couldn't see doing anything else in my future.

Now I have the best career a girl like me could ask for! And I get to share it with all of you.
